Worn books, hidden paths, striking vistas, and displaced machinery- an accumulation of images from, inspired by, and relevant to the ages of Myst.

Gen. Benjamin Huger, CSA | portrait of Aitrus in Riven: the Sequel to Myst

submission by theeternalhouse:

A very Rivenesque castle renovation; had me scanning the photos for a glimpse of Gehn.

Wow- we couldn’t agree more!  This is the Sigmundskron castle renovation by architect Werner Tscholl, located in South Tyrol, Italy.

My local Myst buds and I have been casually assembling a Game of Thrones-centric fancast for Myst/Riven.  Gotta fudge the ages a bit, but otherwise!  Pretty damn close.

Suggestions welcome, of course- for instance, is Jaquen H’ghar is too hot for Saavedro?  Some of us don’t mind, but these are the pressing issues we cover here at Mystic Places.

Hey guys, apologies for the unanticipated hiatus on Mystic Places!  I’m currently in the middle of prepping for Emerald City Comicon and Norwescon, so I haven’t had much free time to replenish the queue with all of the cool material I have sitting around.  Thanks for your patience, and we should be up and running in the next few weeks. :)
In the meantime can we talk about how Charles Dance would make an AMAZING GEHN? Ugh.  Yes.
