The Chained Library of Zutphen
I took these pictures during a visit to the 16th-century chained library of Zutphen, in the east of the Netherlands. It is one of three such libraries still in existence in Europe. Nothing much has changed here for 550 years.

Something about a library of chain-bound books is so very, very D’ni.
The Secret Door is essentially the digital equivalent of a linking book- one that only only takes you to places on Earth, anyway.
The site curates a series of particularly interesting locations via Google Earth, drops you down into them with no explanation, and invites you to explore. Pretty rad.
Hey guys-
Pardon the slow posts as of late! I’m prepping for my table at Emerald City Comicon (booth #107, come say hi!), so I haven’t had as much time to invest in Mystic Places and freshen up the queue. I have a ton of posts on the backlog, just have to source them all and make them presentable for all you fine folks. :)
Thanks for your patience and expect a deluge of posts later this month,
-Mystic Places

Joel and I have officially Steampunk’d our cubicle.
My coworker brought in his steampunk rifle, so I decided to MYST-ify the rest of the bookshelf! Naturally.
You can’t see the MYST book itself, but take solace in knowing that it’s hidden back by the light bulb. Hidden, as all good linking books are.
