Artist Marco Casagrande’s installation Sandworm is both architecture and environmental art. The 45 meters long and 10 meters high structure sits among the dunes of the Wenduine coastline in Belgium and is constructed entirely out of willow. Casagrande describes his work as “weak architecture” – a human made structure that wishes to become part of nature through flexibility and organic presence.
